  • this story brought me to tears !!  my dad retired from the air force after 28 years, and he also fought in the korean war. i know that doing the right thing on memorial weekend was very important to him- just like mr. carlton.

  • the white house is the president's residence.  he should not have to disclose who comes and who goes. if it is a matter of security- then yes, but otherwise leave them alone. afterall- you don't have to disclose who comes to your house- do you? so, why should he have to?

  • when stapleton airport closed down in denver, they converted it to new houses and new developments, new businesses, it is really going strong out there. they already had the roads there- the runaways- i don't live in aurora/denver- but my understanding is that it is very nice over there.

  • my husband who is NEVER sick, accidently bought the m & m's peanut butter about 3 weeks ago- that was the only thing different he had that i didn't have. he said they tasted funny- but thought maybe it was because he bought peanut butter rather than peanut.

  • at memorial  day events, i have actually had people tell me" your father didn't fight in the latest war? so, what are you doing here?"  their remarks actually made me cry. memorial day is suposed to be for everyone of all branch's of all wars- not those of the current wars only.

  • i agree 100% !!! if he doesn't respect the american flag- how do you expect him to respect our country !! that is the reason i do not like him- no other reason !! i want someone who will respect our country and our flag.

  • what about the familes of those in the korean war, and the vietnam war???  pearl harbor?? what about us? the armed forces and the families of those serving have been around for many years.

  • let the dog have the bone- he/she was probably hungry, and his/her sniffer took it exactly to where it knew it could get some food. hope the grocery store and the city let it drop. if not- i will send the store $3 to cover the dog and his food/treat.
